Albuquerque, NM (Vocus/PRWEB) February 01, 2011

Upsite Technologies announces today the addition of Jim Fink as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer. The change is a strategic decision to increase the amount of time and resources the company can spend developing new product lines for data center efficiency improvement.

“The addition of Mr. Fink will allow Upsite Technologies to engage in more aggressive product research and development to meet our customers’ needs,” said Ken Sowards, Upsite’s President. Mr. Fink will become responsible for the leadership of the company’s current R&D department beginning today.

Mr. Fink has 17 years of experience in many areas of the mission critical facilities industry. He most recently served as director of MEP design engineering at Thielsch Company in Rhode Island. Mr. Fink previously led business development and engineering teams for American Power Conversion (now Schneider Electric) where he patented and brought to market revolutionary new high density data center cooling systems. He began his career in 1994 serving in the US Navy with a Middle Eastern deployment. This provided a unique operational perspective of mission critical facilities while running a nuclear power plant onboard a US fast attack submarine.

Mr. Fink holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with honors from Union College in New York, and a Masters in Business Administration from University of Rhode Island. He is an active licensed Professional Engineer in Rhode Island.

C6 Technology by Skankeywear is Better Than Ever

C6 Technology by Skankeywear is Better Than Ever

C6 Technology

Beaverton, OR (Vocus/PRWEB) January 26, 2011

Skankeywear®-Beaverton, Oregon. C6 Technology® is an innovative technology that can be applied to any fabric before or after production. Being able to apply this treatment to a finished product opens new doors and capabilities for the fabric product that is treated. Now embroideries, screen printed products, seams and thread will be included in the treatment, making them stain and water resistant as well. This process can be applied to most fabrics making many more possibilities for the product. From jeans, to knitted shirts, to woven shirts: almost anything can be treated.

C6 Technology® uses a C6 carbon chain rather than a C8 carbon chain like most of its competitors. C8 carbon chains are full of Perfluorooctanoic acids(PFOA), a man-made chemical which does not occur naturally in the environment. Recently scientists have found great apprehension as levels of PFOA have been commonly found in many humans across the world and concerns abound about how exposure to PFOA could affect people’s health. Unlike C8, a C6 Carbon chain does not contain PFOA, which makes our C6 Technology environmentally safe.

This new process is a step ahead of the rest in protecting the products that are sold. C6 Technology® makes the product stain, water, odor, wrinkle and fade resistant, but a new attribute that has yet to be mentioned is the breathability that the products retain. With this new treatment process, the product can have long life treatment of over 55 washes and keep a desired hand (or feel) of the fabric as though it had never been treated with any process.

C6 Technology® does not make the products water or stain proof, only water and stain resistant. This means that if any dirt or grease has accumulated, it will stay on the surface. Washing of these garments is made easier and faster. It alleviates stress of buying high end detergents or pretreatments. The dirt is simply cleaned right off the surface and leaves C6 Technology® on the garment ready to again resist water and stains. This also cuts down on the time in the dryer, which helps save your energy bill.

Skankeywear® and NW Allen® are two lines of clothing that use C6 Technology®. Making the comforts of a wrinkle and stain resistant lifestyle more attainable to the average consumer. Purchasing clothing with C6 Technology® treatments helps save you money on your water and energy bill with washings and drying. C6 Technology® is here to save your wallet as well as your time. For business and dress clothing for men, look into NW Allen® at nwallen.com. For your everyday clothing needs, look into our ever changing and expanding options for men and women with Skankeywear® found at skankeywear.com.

3D Web Design Becomes a Reality

3D Web Design Becomes a Reality

Chicago, IL (PRWEB) March 1, 2011

DreamCo Design, a national web design company, recently announced their new S3D product technology which they, and many in the industry, feel will forever change the way a website is viewed.

S3D (site-3D) is a concept coined by DreamCo Design which applies the latest 3D technology and HTML5 standards to websites. The end result is websites being seen in an entirely new dimension, literally.

Research indicates that while DreamCo Design may be the first company to formally commercialize 3D website technology for businesses, the concept is bound to spread like a wildfire. Jay Correia, CEO of DreamCo Design, believes that name brands which are looking for a new angle on advertising and e-commerce based sites seeking out a better way to captivate audiences will be the first to buy in and put the 3D website technology to use.

“One of the major drawbacks internet based companies face as compared to their in-person competitors is making the product tangible. The added depth and dimension this technology can bring to products certainly has shortened the gap like never before.”

– Jay Correia | CEO of DreamCo Design

The technology that S3D uses is fairly new, and relies on industry standard technologies. It utilizes .JPS files (stereo .jpg images) and leans on 3D Vision (active shutter technology). Of course high-horsepower computing, graphic capabilities, and the 3D-glasses are required. With more and more turning towards the bleeding-edge of technology, the breakthrough put forth by DreamCo Design could spell a huge jump for online business.

“Just think of the edge a business can have online by showcasing its products in 3D.”

– Jay Correia | CEO of DreamCo Design

Only time will tell as to how much of an impact this may have on how all websites are portrayed but one thing is for certain, and that is consumers are always looking for the newest, latest, and greatest. 3D technology is already finding gains in the film, TV, and gaming industries, so why not online? DreamCo Design states that their S3D website product technology starts at $ 10K and goes up based on project size. To learn more about S3D you can visit the 3D web design section of their website.
